According to a recent claim out of South Korea, the iPhone 14 family’s selfie camera is expected to receive a major boost this fall.
According to reports, Apple is interested in LG Innotek and Sharp as potential suppliers of high-end selfie cameras for its upcoming iPhones.
A Korean firm would be the first to manufacture the iPhone’s front-facing camera for the first time. A new revelation claims that selfie cameras are now considered high-end components by Apple. Previously, selfie cameras were considered low-end components.
In view of the findings, it’s past time for Apple to improve its selfie cameras. Also, according to one speculation, the front-facing cameras on the iPhone 14 will be equipped with autofocus. Because of this and other enhancements, the front camera on the iPhone 14 is now roughly three times as expensive as the camera on prior models.
The iPhone 15 was originally scheduled to use LG Innotek’s camera, but Apple recently pushed the release date up in a hurry. Because of several quality issues that were discovered during quality testing using Chinese-made cameras, this is the case.
LG Innotek was hired to replace the undisclosed Chinese producers for the iPhone 14 generation. Unconfirmed rumors like this one, which you should take with a grain of salt because it is unconfirmed, are common these days.
