On Thursday morning, the Consort of HH the Amir, HH Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al-Thani patronized the graduation ceremony of female undergraduate and graduate students from Qatar University.
The graduation ceremony of the 45th batch, the Class of 2022, took place at Qatar University’s Sports and Events Complex.
The attendees of the ceremony were a number of Their Excellencies Sheikhs, members of Qatar University’s Board of Trustees, ministers, Qatar University Vice Presidents and parents of the students.
Sheikha Jawaher, her highness honoured female graduates in various disciplines. Out of 2,767 female graduates, 479 outstanding female graduates were honoured.
A film was put on display about Qatar University’s achievements in various fields during the academic year 2021-2022 during the graduation ceremony.
As quoted by The Peninsula, the ceremony also included a speech by HE President of QU Dr.Hassan bin Rashid Al Derham who stressed that Qatar University, thanks to the efforts of the students, has contributed to achieving the goals of the State through its sober formation, institutional culture, scientific and research capabilities and preparation of generations of competencies, praising the concerted efforts of various sectors of the University, which yielded results and transformed the strategy into a tangible reality.
In the ceremony, a student Dana Ali Al Mulla also gave a speech on behalf of the graduates. She praised Qatari women for their pivotal roles in various fields. She also stressed that graduation is just the beginning of creativity.
